Went to la luna for lunch yesterdayThursday 25 January to celebrate a family members birthday and I have to say it was fantastic we had the set menu 2 had starters which was soup of the day and the sea food and salmon salad which they both thoroughly enjoyed we then had the cod and chips the steak the pork with mustard mash which was again delicious and very well presented next came the desserts and they didn't dissapoint either, tiramasu , bread and butter pudding, and warm chocolate pots with strawberries churres marshmallows the staff were very warm and friendly especially Rhys who went above and behond to make sure we had a really enjoyable afternoon this restaurant was a great little find and we would certainly recommend it and we will definitely be back ~ Ann D

I booked Sunday Lunch at La Luna to celebrate my sisters 70th Birthday. Well this was not the usual pub grub Sunday Lunch by a long shot. Yes they had the roasts but with interesting twists but also additional different options. The veg provided were amazing. High quality. Wide choice and tasty Inc the crispiest roasties , new pots , roast carrots, parsnips and butter nut squash and a great selection of greens Inc tender stem broccoli and mange tout.. and loads of them. They certainly didn't stint. There were also an unusual selection of both starters and deserts. My 94 year old Mum said she was too full for dessert but we ordered her the Baileys Tiramusu and she cleared the plate ..it was sooooo tasty. I must say we shall definitely be going back . We've eaten in La Luna for around 25 years both lunch, dinners and celebrations. The service and ambience has always been exceptional and the food in quality and range has been consistently splendid, the flavours of every dish finely worked out and balanced. For this quality it is exceptional value for money. We are both vegetarian and are well catered for and there is a separate vegan menu. The wine list is well chosen and reasonably priced. We travel and eat out around the world and La Luna usually comes up trumps on our return. All the dishes are prepared on the premises from basic ingredients, a real rarity in restaurants these days, and it tells in the quality. La Luna is a jewel in the crown for South Wales and well worth travelling for. ~ Len A

Love, love, love this place I have been here numerous times and always had a fab foody experience. The pork belly starter is lush. Not too much and full of flavour and the right balance of pork, apple and salad. You must try it. Mains; I always struggle to choose. Have tried the salmon, the steak, risotto and the chicken. All have been really nice. Last Saturday I went with lamb and it was delicious. The service is always very friendly and they recognise you but dont overpower with too much service stuff. I just love it here. So close to shops in Talbot Green and just glad I know this place exists. It is so close to chain restaurants yet many dont know about it. Was half tempted not to review as i really like its quiet existence next to busy shops and chain dining but they deserve each star I have given in my opinion so felt the need to share after my weekend dining experience. ~ Stacy B

Ignore all the negative nancy comments, they’re clearly all very difficult and unhappy. From the beginning it wowed us. Came for my birthday today and it was honestly mesmerising. From the service, to Leon’s cocktails and everything in between. Not to forget Damien’s steak. Folks, if you want a top quality steak to the point it melts in your mouth, go here. The staff were amazing, VERY attentive even down the point of wishing me a happy birthday the second I walked through the door. Honestly highly recommend. Definitely do the steak and date night menu too. You’ll be missing out if you skip either starter or dessert. Regardless of feeling like I needed to be wheeled out, it was all worth it. It was genuinely THE best steak I’ve ever had in my life(and I’ve had many). We enjoyed that much, we booked for my partners birthday in 4 weeks from now. Bravo La Luna❤️ ~ Callum B

I love La Luna! Hands down best place to eat in Talbot green! We've been to La Luna several times over last 10 years, and it's always a lovely, and delicious experience. The Drinks menu has someone for everyone, and their cocktails are made with time and care. The new tapas menu is a lovely addition, and the meatballs and crispy beef are a personal favorite. The staff are well mannered, pleasant, and make every experience a thoroughly enjoyable one. Our most recent visit was last Saturday, and our party of 8 took advantage of the lunchtime special, which was a great value for money. We look forward to our next visit. ~ Simon E

We went to La Luna for my husbands 30th birthday meal, and it did not disappoint. We had a large group of 20, so it was suggested that we pre order and that we all pay on one card for food, and drinks payed for at the bar. This worked out brilliantly, and was so much easier! The food was amazing, everyone was very happy and the quality did not suffer with us being a large group. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, there to help with anything and everything. They even brought a sparkler candle in his cake! A wonderful experience and we will all be back. Thank you!! ~ Laicey P

I have visited La Luna, on many occasions over the years.I can honestly say, I have always been greeted with a warm and friendly welcome,. The staff are curteous and attentive, to say the least. The food is Superb and the choice of menu is diverse. I celebrated my Birthday at La Luna today, with a couple of friends and we could not have been any happier with the food or service. A big shout out to Kate, for making my celebration get together, more special. If you are looking for a fabulous place to Eat, this restaurant is most definitely the place to visit. ~ Annette R

La Luna is an absolute gem. My wife and I have been dining here for many years. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and oozes elegance. The food is to die for, always made with fresh ingredients and creative combinations, with immaculate presentation and just the right balance of flavors and such exceptional value for the quality of food and experience you receive. We had a really lovely evening for a birthday celebration at La Luna. The set menu was 3 really high quality courses - great starters, fantastic steaks and lovely desserts. Great value too and generous portions. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back and the staff were genuinely lovely, particularly the young man serving us. There were 8 of us who all really enjoyed the meal and the setting, and we will certainly be returning there again and would recommend it to others too. All in all, a definite five star meal. ~ M P

My husband and I have just come back from La Luna. We haven't been for a few years...we have really missed out. It was a wonderful evening. The food was exquisite and piping hot (a rare thing in restaurants sometimes) and the steak was melt in your mouth tender. It was the right ballance of atmosphere and busy so we're able to carry out conversations without being overheard nor shouting to be heard. Did I mention the food was exquisite? Staff were friendly and attentive...won't be so long before our next visit this time ! ~ Elizabeth W

Catlyn and Raheed went the extra mile taking pictures for my mother's birthday, and handling the poorly timed and unusual requests of the birthday party. We all agreed it was exceptional service. All food was excellent and my starter or bbq pork belly and black pudding melted in the moth with flavour that will have me coming back. My steak was cooked perfectly to my request (a real test of a kitchen with all the dishes coming out at the same time) and everyone had nothing but compliments for the food and after meal coffees. ~ David R

Customer service from Kate was fantastic, knew who I was and details of my booking as soon as I walked through the door. Really helpful, friendly and amiable without being OTT. Menu choices all sounded so incredible that it was difficult to decide what to have. The belly pork and black pudding starter is easily one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. I'd have had it for a main and dessert too if able. Highly recommended for a top class meal at a fantastic price point. Will be back very soon. ~ Lucy

Cannot thank Kate and Craig enough for helping us to organise a surprise 50th birthday celebration for my sister. From ordering the tapas ( which were exceptional and served promptly) to the service by an amazing young waitress the night couldn’t have gone any better! Bar staff also fantastic, and the venue is perfect for such an occassion. As a family we are regular customers at La Luna. The food quite honestly is first class and it it our no1 go to place for evening meals and amazing Sunday lunches. If haven’t been… you are missing out!! ~ Petra D

Visited La Luna on Friday and must say I was amazed as always. Food was beautiful and great value and the staff were friendly, polite and professional. The only thing I will say is there was a rather large table there and one lady in particular was quite rude to one of the waitresses. I was very impressed with the way the waitress handled the situation with this lady who seemed to just be trying to show off in front of her friends as the rest of the table were more than happy. We booked out the whole of the upstairs for my 40th birthday party. Kate was on hand in the build up to go through everything (food orders etc) - I was a tricky customer for some things and Kate managed to sort all of my queries no problem. On the day of the party the staff couldn’t do enough for us - special mention to Taylor for putting up with my many requests! The food was lovely and kids food served in a separate room as per my request All of my guests were very complimentary and I would recommend La Luna for a party in a heartbeat! ~ Cerys W

My wife and I had a brilliant evening at la luna yesterday. We ate from the £35.00 set menu. The food was terrific. Even with a supplement for king prawns it was all rather good value for money. The food was delicious. The service was great didn't, I didn't catch his name but nothing was to much trouble for the front of house and his staff. The bailies tiramisu and baked cheesecake were notable recommendations from the dessert menu as we're the Pina colada and honeysuckle sour from the drinks menu. ~ Scott P

Superb meal in a romantic and trendy place, ideal for a first date as music (downstairs) is not obtrusive. The service team give you ample time between courses to digest so you are never rushed. I had the paella to start, which for those with small appetites will be enough, then had the Sea bass fillet with samphire, which was sublime, no accompaniments are needed unless you are cultivating your waistline :0) Superb and will visit again....soon ~ Mark M

Visited here for sunday lunch and weren’t disappointed! Their Sunday menu is different to places I’ve been to before & I liked the variety of starters and desserts. Bao buns to start were really soft and fluffy and full of flavour! The beef for main was cooked to perfection, everything had so much flavour! The dessert was also different to what I’ve seen on a menu before and was really good. The wine list was also decent and the service was great, will definitely be returning! ~ Molly H

Easy 5 for me. Me and the Mrs decided to try new restaurants and treat ourselves every other week. We decided to try here first and honestly don’t think we need to try anywhere else. Will 100% be back here. Can’t see why it has any bad reviews really I think lots just love to moan. First time to go out since lockdown and me and my friend chose La Luna. What a good choice we made. Absolutely amazing food and the drinks was flowing fast ♥️🤦 lovely music back ground and the waitress couldn't do enough. I had to ask her name as she was so lovely and welcoming. What a lovely restaurant. We were seated promptly and were given menus immediately. The set evening menu is great value for money. The orders were taken quickly and we received our food quickly. The food was cooked and presented beautifully. The staff were very attentive , maybe overly, but this could have been because it was unusually quiet. I cannot believe the value for money and cannot wait to return. ~ Ceri B

Great food and great service. With all the commercial food chains we're bombarded with these days, it's great to find a family run business which offers that personal touch and experience, that very much challenges the status quo and in my opinion, blows them out of the water. I would highly recommend La Luna, you will not be disappointed. Nothing beats your own experience so give it a try and judge it for yourself...fantastic! ~ Simon E

First class setting, and service. Very nice set menu with very good selection of dishes. Everyone enjoyed their food immensely. The only grumble would be that the drinks were a ridiculous price. Glass of wine £7.50, and that's fine, but, a wine and lemonade cost around £1.40 more for a glass with less wine in it. Diet coke from the pump was £2.30. Expensive I feel but the food was so nice, it wouldn't stop us going back. ~ Gareth l
